Emmalaine already has a best friend in her big cousin, Kaydence.  It is evident that Kaydence loves Emmalaine and I am so thankful that Emmalaine has someone like her to look up to one day.  I know that Kaydence will show her how to be a respectful, sweet, young lady.  I can't wait to watch these two grow up together.  Love them both to pieces!

4 Weeks of Life

It is so hard to believe that our baby girl is a month old!  The time sure has flown by and she is getting so big.  When I hold her and look in the mirror, I cannot believe how much she has grown.  She had a perfect check up at the doctor.  She now weighs in at 9lbs. 2oz. and is 21 1/2 inches long.  The doctors says that she is healthy as can be and is growing at a great rate - she is in the 50% for height and weight which makes her perfectly average (of course far above average to us!)

Today is just a few days after her one month birthday and she slept from 10pm - 5am last night!  Mommy is so proud of her.  She is figuring out her routine and doing a great job at it.

Lake Time!

Emmalaine enjoyed her first ride on Grammie and Poppi's boat last weekend and I think we are going to have ourselves a boater baby.  She slept in Grammi's arms the whole ride as the wind blew through her hair (we all know she has tons of that).  She got a bit sweaty but didn't seem to mind that one bit.  I see many more boat rides in her future.  She is lucky to have two sets of grandparents that have boats!

Great-Grandpa Brock made a special trip to our house to meet Emmalaine.  She loves him and her favorite was when Grandpa sang to her.  I loved watching Grandpa with Emmalaine - he is so gentle and loving and you could see that shining through when he held her.

Baby Grayson is Here!

Grayson Michael Alvarez came 5 weeks early on Friday, July 6th (right smack between Grammi and Poppi's birthdays).  We are so thankful that he came to us healthy and is thriving.  He is a precious little boy and we are waiting for him to pass Emmalaine in length and weight in no time.  We love Grayson and Kaydence!

Emmalaine was a stinker pot when she met Grayson.  She wanted to let him know she was there (by crying) and Grayson payed no attention!

3 Weeks - Time Flies!

July 10th marked Emmalaine's 3rd week gracing us with her presence!  She was a bit sleepy at the "photo shoot."
