One Blessed Girl...

Well, it's true.  I'm another year older - one year away from 30.  Yikes-er-ama!
I am such a lucky and blessed girl.  I have the most amazing people in my life that love me, encourage me, support me, and this weekend...celebrated me.  All for just being born.  Why is it that we celebrate the person and not the Mom that bore the kid?  I mean, really?
I had such an amazing weekend.  Because my birthday happens to fall on a Monday this year (uck, Monday birthday) we decided to celebrate my birthday this weekend.
I worked a 1/2 day on Saturday promoting our school at Suwanee Days.  After that, I came home and watched the Clemson/Auburn game with Trent (well, maybe a little of it...my eyes got quite heavy!)  I convinced Trent that since we were celebrating my birthday this weekend, he really should let me open my presents at half time of the game.  HE GAVE IN....SCORE!!  Trent spoiled me rotten - I've been wanting a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses for months and he remembered.  I also got some work out clothes along with a special pink t-shirt with RHYMER on the back.  I've been wanting that too.

Impressive Wrapping, huh?

My new shades!

LOVE IT!

Clemson ended up winning the game....HUGE for Clemson...TERRIBLE for Auburn.  We headed up to Dawsonville to enjoy an evening out with the family at The Ridge.  It was such a wonderful evening.  There was live music and we had a great meal.  The six of us laughed and caught up and it will be an evening I will remember forever.  We missed Kaydence, but she sent the most precious card with Jenica and Aaron that she made.  It was full of stickers and drawings that made my awesome day even better!  My parents also spoiled me with beautiful clothes and a gift card to do damage at Ann Taylor Loft. Can't wait!

Sunday morning Trent and I went to church and headed to his parents to celebrate even more.  We ate at one of my favorite places in Ball Ground, Simply Southern.  Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, Mac 'n Cheese, Bread, Pot Roast...oh my!  Elaine and Ken spoiled me too with a pair of shoes that I wanted (a little birdy told them so), a label maker (which the birdy told them that too) and a gift card to shop!  Every one knows me so well.  I also packed on a few LBs after eating a slice of peanut butter chocolate ice cream pie from Baskin Robbins - my all time favorite ice cream.

The Shoes!

Mmm, goodness!

Are you sensing a theme?  SPOILED, and one blessed girl, living an amazing life!

It's Football Time

Although I didn't like Kaydence's response, I had to post the video.  Her parents are teaching her to be a true GEORGIA girl!

Super Duper Slumber!

We had the best Saturday night!  What a treat to have Kaydence slumber with us.  We were able to do all kinds of fun things.  She is such a sweetheart and made Trent and I feel so special, as though she truly was having the best time!
It started with a quick trip to Costco.  She loooooooved the samples.  "Kaydence, would you like to try some Lucky Charms?"  "Sure!"  "Kaydence would you like to try some Jello?"  "Sure!"  "Kaydence would you like to try a Fruit Crisp?"  "Sure!"  Oh, Saturday at Costco is oh-so-much fun!

Eating samples...

After that we ate our lunch and it was nap time in a BIG GIRL BED!  When she woke up from her nap, Uncle T and Auntie had the afternoon packed with loads of fun.  First, we headed to Hippo Hop where we hopped, ran, laughed, tickled, and played.  Trent and I decided the safest place for dinner was Chick-fil-a, Kaydence agreed!  Although Kaydence really wanted an "ice cream cone" from Chick-fil-a, we promised her we had a bigger better place in mind.  We promised something sweet and headed to FroYoLo where she could create her own secret concotion of yogurt and whatever else her heart desired.  Choice of the night was Vanilla Yogurt with Jelly Bean toppings.  She was satisfied, no doubt!

Lunch time!

Someone else took advantage of Kaydence napping.

In case Kaydence is ever a "TIGER" one day, we have a picture she can look back on!

Hoppin' like a Hippo...do Hippos even hop?

Ring around the Rosy.....

.....Auntie falls down!

Here we come!

Our Pirate in her boat!

We quickly headed home as our evening was drawing to a close.  We still had bath time and a show to watch!  Uncle T was the hero of the night when he found a Bubble Guppies show.  We lost her for a good 20 minutes - she was enthralled with her "show" and milk.  Once the show was over, she gave her hugs and kisses, we said our prayers and she was off to snooze.

Kaydence is so creative.  While I was getting the bath ready, she was playing in the shower curtain.  Then, she wrapped up in it and said, "I'm a Princess."  I agree with her.  She sure is!  I snapped the pic after bath time to remember the moment.  How precious is she?

Night Night in her BIG GIRL BED...what a fun slumber party!

Morning came and Dora greeted her on the TV.  Cool!  Kaydence watched her show while Auntie drank a cup of coffee - Auntie is not used to early weekend mornings! Uncle T enjoyed Dora, too.

Who looks this pretty in the morning?  Kaydence!

Best Uncle Award for finding Dora!

We decided to go to BB Bagels for breakfast and then we met up with Aaron and Jenica because we had to give Kaydence back - no fun!  However, I will never forget Kaydence's reaction to seeing her parents - she SQUEALED she was so excited.  She is one blessed girl to have such amazing parents.
As you can probably tell, Trent and I loved our time spent with Kaydence.  We love her more than she'll ever know.
Thanks, Kaydence, for slumbering with Auntie and Uncle T.  Thanks, Aaron and Jenica, for trusting us with your sweet baby girl.
Til next time,
Sarah

We're Back...

I bet you all thought I had abandoned blogging!  Nope, I'm back.

Trent and I have been so busy the last couple weekends and we are now back and settled and looking forward to a couple weekends at home.

Last weekend, we enjoyed a couple days on Lake Burton with Trent's parents and the Benko family (minus Jared and Sarah, which we all missed terribly).  The company was wonderful and the time spent was relaxing.  I think napping germs are in the air at Lake Burton...people were zonked out like it was contagious.

Maycie preferred the landing because any closer was too close to the water!

Reggie, on the other hand, couldn't get enough water time.

Uncle Jeff and Coleman

It was fun to watch Karie, Coleman, and Uncle Jeff go tubing.  They had some pretty bad wipe outs and I was curious how they walked on Sunday!

This past weekend, Trent and I headed north to Dawsonville to care for my parents pups while they were beach bums in PCB.  Unfortunately, Bandit, their minpin, was bit by another dog when he was at doggie day care on Wednesday.   He underwent surgery Thursday and he was quite pitiful when we arrived.  We gave him lots of TLC and Reggie and Maycie offered up a few licks to help ease his discomfort too.

Trent and I saw Kaydence on Sunday afternoon and that is always a treat.  She greeted us with a lollipop and a big smile.  She had just done #2 in the potty and we CELEBRATE this big accomplishment family-wide.  We were very proud, gave high fives, and big hugs.

My parents came home Sunday afternoon and Trent and I stayed until Monday.  The four of us had fondue for dinner on Sunday and had a blast.  Mom made a delicious breakfast and Aaron, Jenica, and Kaydence came up for it too.  It was a great family time.

Next weekend, Trent and I have a slumber planned with Kaydence on Saturday night.  That means she is coming to our house for a FUN FILLED night - we can't wait.  Updates and pictures to come!!

Til then, have a great week!
